-Images from any of the standard [[competitions:classdefinitions|competition classes]] may be submitted.+The competition for January has been changed from Open to Nature to narrow the scope and facilitate judging. The exact date for the January competition depends on floor maintenance at the Senior Center. Sometimes that interferes with the third Tuesday (this year, January 17) meeting date. A definite date will be available later in the autumn. The definition for Nature competitions is: Something that exists in nature: An insect, butterflies, leaves, etc. Includes birds and fish, no man made objects. No elements may be moved, cloned, added, deleted, rearranged, or combined. No manipulation or modification is permitted except resizing, cropping, selective lightening or darkening, and restoration of original color of the scene. No special effect filters can be applied. Any sharpening must appear natural.
