Ya know, I was going to sit down and write something on HDR to our forum members which I said I would do, but after I got started, something smacked me aside my head and said " You're a dink. There are so many tutorials and articles out there, why are you reinventing the wheel". A quick search on Google confirmed it and I promptly thanked whoever it was and came up with this to start you off.

Luminous Landscape has a nice little article on HDR you should read before getting down to the nitty gritty. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

http://www.luminous-landscape.com/tutorials/hdr.shtml

And here is a short video and if you look to the right side you will find a whole bunch more.

Well, that certainly saved me a lot of work.

Here's 2 HDR shots I did of San Francisco last year.

A hobby novice when it comes to photography, I'm eager to hang out with "people in the photog know" and slowly earn my photography bones step-by-step, day-by-day and photo op-by-photo op. Since the general meeting HDR presentation, HDR photography has been a conversation mainstay. Seeing results of pumping pictures through the HDR program, not only am I amazed at the results I have seen, what results might I end up with? A fire has been lit for me to buy that program and give it a try.

That being said, as I enbrace the possibilities of HDR at my skill level, I want to thank those people in the photog know for being themselves by keeping this photo subject in the forefront of things to talk about. It's like being back in college.

Thanks, everyone.

Save 25% if you use the code LPA25. I just did it and it works. Normally $99 for Photomatrix Pro for Windows and with the discount ($24.75), final purchase price was $74.25. Thank's to Ted Dayton, presenter of our February program on HDR photographySmile Go to http://www.hdrsoft.com/ and enter the discount code LPA25.
