Club News

Opening Reception Feb 4 at 6pm

With over 343 entrants, and 143 accepted entries, by 88 artists, five of our LPA members had photos accepted into the 26th Annual Juried Art Expedition, “look here”.  To bridge the gap between the old and the new museum, and to bring art into the community, artists’ works are on display at the current museum location and many business locations along The BLVD.  LPA members Michael Harris, Douglas Wade, Lyle, Trusty, Nola Zhang and Helen Henry all had entries accepted into the exhibit.  Congratulations on your acceptances!

Prime Desert DVD - Fall 2010

Club News

On Tuesday, December 14, 2010 the completed DVD of images of the Prime Desert Woodland Preserve was presented at the Lancaster City Council Meeting to the Parks and Recreation Department.   Through Terri Garner’s help, David and Christine Wilkins and Sue Craft were able to secure a place on the December agenda.  A short segment of the DVD was shown at the council meeting simultaneously on two large screens in the Council chamber.  Images entered in the October competition as well as extra submitted images of the Prime Desert were included in the DVD that features 143 images in about 14 minutes playing time.

A viewing of the DVD at the Prime Desert Woodland Preserve for LPA members and friends is in the works.  Details will be announced once the date is set.

Thanks to all who entered images in the competition and who sent in additional images.

Results from the competition can be viewed here.
